Poor service , booked a car , had to wait 2.5 hours for car as car was ready at required time . Car had moulding missing in the car and was dirty inside the car . Trunk in the car wouldn’t open when we went to airport and had to rebook flight as I couldn’t get my luggage out of the trunk and then charged me for having to pay the mechanic to get it open . Never ever again will use this company

Recently rented from Zoom through there Ace division. Was pleasantly surprised with a nice new Toyota Corolla and drove to the Edmonton area and back. Upon our return there was a minor issue with the car that was resolved very amicably.

Zoom rental car provide us with great deals, and is very quick. The people are nice. I have rented a car a lot of times before and I really like there service.

Please be warned...These guys are slimy, liars and purely unethical!! I honestly question all the good reviews about them. We rented from them two weeks. To start they are very far from the airport of Toronto. They let us wait in the airport for 40min. When signing the rental agreement they sneaked bunch of additional fees. After returning their car, they even charged more than was agreed on. Thanks to my bank or helping in this process. Their customer service sucks. They are simply ill-intentioned guys! My advice stay away from them. I myself reported them.

Zoom is so far the only company forcing clients to buy liability insurance. We actually have Roadside Plus from ICBC (BC, Canada) that covers this. Zoom required us to show them the paper or call ICBC right away. Everybody knows normally this kind of call will cost you minimum half an hour to get an answer, to save time, you have to pay zoom extra.

I have rented from this company about 5 or 6 times. Their cars are always clean and in great shape. As well, the staff are prompt, friendly and efficient. Overall, this company is a 5-star rental company! I'd recommend it to everyone. :-)

Very pleased... it was past open hours when we arrived, but the lovely lady checked us in and even drove us to our hotel in her personal vehicle because their shuttle driver was gone for the day. Car was clean and reliable, couldn't have asked for better service. I don't know if there are numerous Zoom locations or not so I will state that this is the one in Mississauga.

I found a great deal from these folks and rented a Civic for about a month. I’m from the U.S. and was surprised when they were particular about whether my U.S. insurance applied in Canada--it did--and whether it met Canadian car insurance requirements--which it did not! (They explained that they’d been burned by this before.) They gave me a day to iron it out with my U.S. insurance. I ended up just upping my U.S. liability coverage to meet Canadian standards, which was a great deal cheaper than the insurance that they offered, and which they were happy to accept. The car itself was in great shape.

I used Zoom on my latest trip to Toronto. It was slightly inconvenient to have to travel off-site, but the company made it as painless as possible with very clear instructions and a free shuttle. As soon as I booked, they also outlined in an email, very clearly, what I needed to know to help the rental process go smoothly (like needing confirmation from my insurance company that I had coverage on my plan for rental cars). They bumped me up to the next size car with no extra charge. The car was clean, almost brand new, and the agent made sure I knew how to use a keyless ignition. He also explained any extra charges and suggested I avoid the one toll highway in the area (which I did). Returning the car was a smooth process. I found the agents to be helpful at every step, and the website is very clear about charges and how they are applied. My one caution would be to read the fine print - if you do that, I don't think you'll have problems. I would definitely recommend Zoom, and will use it again when I need a vehicle.

I am very pleased with my renting experience with Zoom. They picked me up at the airport at the exact time they said they would, and provided me with a brand new vehicle 1 size larger then I had rented for no extra charge. I had it for 8 days and did not have an issue with it. Putting 2300km on the vehicle over my time in Ontario. There were no hidden fees as mentioned in another review on this site. On arrival the desk clerk actually saved me more money. The staff was helpful and very accommodating. When I return in 3 weeks I will be renting from Zoom again. It was my first time doing business with them, but it will not be the last. Thanks for the good experience.

I've been renting here for quite some time now. Cheap prices, great service, excellent cars (Brand New)! I totally recommend this. Also, make sure you add 3rd party liability ($9 a day) if you don't have any.

I was a bit sceptical when I was booking but I was super surprised by the service I got. I got a Brand spanking new car and the service was amazing. I needed to extend my rental for a day and even-though it was a long weekend they honoured the same price I rented the car for which is unheard of. The person I spoke to when I was dropping the car really understood customer service. Thanks. #HappyCustomer

I, like most net savvy consumers spend a great deal of time researching product and service reviews online before I make a decision on any major purchase - renting a car is no exception. We've all been there - multiple windows open with all the travel deal sites blinking away like so many christmas trees, eyeballs strained reading the fine print, burnt out filling in online quotes only to get results that are much higher than you expected. Its all a frustrating experience to say the least. Finally after what seems like days of indecision you come to a final choice and for me it was Zoom Rent A Car. Yeah I had never heard of it either - but when compared to all of the other major and minor players in the industry the price was the cheapest and fit my expected budget. Im hype, i'm happy, i'm ready to book... one last thing let me check out the online reviews... what the... oh... come on... wow. My happiness turns to fear my elation turns to dread... is this a real business? Can I trust this company with my personal information? These guys are getting slandered buy a multitude of unhappy customers. So the next day I decide to a little investigating of my own and called the store that would be handling my rental. I talk to the manager XXXXX and told him what the online reviews say and voiced my concerns about trust and security. I was reassured that there would be no problems whatsoever and we would be getting a new car with less than 5000 KM... so I went ahead and booked. We arrive at Zoom a half hour early on pick-up day and wow this place was packed!! First off id like to say the staff were amazing considering the bull they have to put up with - while standing in line we saw three credit card denials - someone demanding to be served because they were late and a flashy guy with no money trying to embarrassingly talk the staffer down in price. We were dealt with quickly as we had all our ducks in a row and were given the keys to a brand new as promised vehicle - no extra hidden fees, no hassle, no problem. Upon return we checked out paid and that was the end of that. We had a excellent experience with Zoom rental car and recommend the location at Dixie and 401 they were excellent to deal with and will recommend and use them again any time. Read the online reviews and do some further investigating i'm glad I did it saved me money and a lot of hassle in the end.

I will be honest, at first I was kind of iffy because when I arrived to rent the car I was unaware that I had to put a deposit for the car plus at least $100 for the rental itself. I had to initially leave and go back home to get more money (luckily I live close by) which was kind of annoying. Once we got that part out of the way everything went smoothly. Loved the car that I got to rent. Was good on gas and with there being a gas station right beside Zoom it was easy to fill it up when returning it. All in all I had a great experience with Zoom. While renting the car I got into a couple accidents with the car (none of them being my fault) and they were super understanding and even helped to get into contact with the driver at fault to get the payment to fix the car. the person I dealt with and I initially got off to a rough start (sorry lol) but he actually helped me out so much that I definitely will be renting again as well as spreading the word to family and friends. Thanks a lot guys! Expect to see me within a couple weeks :)
