I sold my wifes car to webuyanycar.
I thought it was the ideal solution as i didnt have time to advertise or show potential buyers round the car.
The car was only 1 (yes 1) year old,
13,000 miles on the clock.
Im pretty fussy, and to me the car was immaculate and would look like new in any showroom.
BUT NOT TO WEBUTANYCAR!!!!!!!!!!
A tiny scratch on the bumper (about 3mm long)which would have come out with a rub of t-cut-
MINUS £110
Another on the rear wing
MINUS £110
A couple of tiny stone chips on the bonnet and bumper (how do you avoid stone chips?)
MINUS £65 EACH

Apparantly it doesnt matter if a scratch is 1mm or 50mm long ITS THE SAME!

And lo and behold if you dont have both keys, or the service history is not bang up to date.

Reading all the reviews on line i can understand peoples frustration with them.

They could be building a trustworthy company that people would use again and again but they are now quickly getting a reputation for shafting people and preying on people who are desparate for a sale.

Heres my advice-
If your car is up to 3 years old then use there valuation, add 10%, and advertise it yourself.
If your car is over 3 years old, dont even go near their website. Find out what similar cars are selling for and once again, advertise it yourself.

Our online valuations are based on the information provided to us online including the condition of the car, the model, age and mileage. If we consider that its value is affected by an aspect of its history or condition, which was not apparent to us when we gave the online valuation, the price that we offer for it will differ from the online valuation.
You are right in saying that you may well get more for your car by selling privately. We don't claim to offer you the best possible price. We simply guarantee a quick, easy and safe way of selling. Free from the hassle of hagglers, strangers turning up at your door, waiting in for viewers and dealing with time-wasters. We hope to provide a convenient service for our customers which takes away the hassle and pain of car selling. Apologies that we were unable to help you and your wife on this ocassion.

Why don't you just admit you're in this to make profit from anothers misfortune. Your company NEVER takes a loss and ALWAYS makes a handsome profit. It doesn't surprise me that you are allowed to get away with this, as everybody is ripping people off especially the banks.
