This is going to be a tame one but will get progressively worse. i have been sold a faulty car and cannot get hold of the company. I will be writing bad reviews until I get dealt with a have a full refund for the piece of trash car they've sold me

Car was delivered on a Friday, went in for a inspection on the Tuesday, mechanic came back with a list of issues including no coolant in the engine, damage to the wishbone an exhaust so corroded that one small pot hole and I’m likely to leave it behind…. The list goes on, Owner of the business is expecting me to drive it back to the garage so they can look at it then try and fob me off Ignored several refund requests even though I’m entitled to one If anyone has managed to get their money back can you let me know how as it looks like I’m going to have to go down the court route

Purchased my car from Chrome unseen (apart from the pics in the ad) and obviously no test drive. They delivered it to me 250 miles away, very promptly with the help of their lovely advisor. The car was everything that l could hope for so no complaints from me. Happy to recommend and thanks to all at Chrome for a stress free purchase.

I was sold a faulty car. I was given false service history of an almost identical car which gave me a false expectation that the vehicle I purchased was serviced regularly. The car broke down within 3 weeks of ownership. Chrome motors refused to cooperate to repair, replace or take the back the rejected car. I have Started legal proceedings the car is unroadworthy and now SORN.

DO NOT TRUST!
Warrant y is not worth paper printed on. Poor aftersales and completely ripped me off for £7,749. Car has broken down twice in the first three weeks and they dont answer the phone or return emails once they,ve had your money. Service history manufactured, covered up numerous faults, coolant issue, battery flat, substantial damage hidden. I could go on (just avoid at all costs!)

Absolutely please avoid at any cost. Bought a Maserati Ghibli from a man at Chrome Motors, driving back to cardiff and realised it had a knocking/clunking noise coming from the rear of the car, I rang him next morning to explain and he only said MOT was fine no faults came up. Took it to few garages and all confirmed that the rear differential needed replacing, I sent him quotes and he has ignored to pay for the cost. The DPF light came on after few weeks needed a service after few weeks which I paid for spent over 3k on the car since I bought it. Also he gave me no warranty with the car they have no after sale respect for customers. Avoid at any cost.

I have recently bought a Jaguar XE car from Chrome Motors and have been missold by saying the car has Adaptive Cruise Control but when I received the car and checked I could only see the normal Cruise Control. Both of these things are totally different. When I reported this later to them the person I dealt with said, he meant the same. How it's possible a car dealer doesn't know the difference between Adaptive Cruise Control vs Cruise Control. The difference in the price of the car can be massively different if the car has/hasn't this feature. Also when the car got delivered it wasn't cleaned so there was no way I could have spotted the scratches and chips on the front windscreen when later reported they refused to do anything and told me I have to get it repaired using my insurance. I now need to return the car and they are not even responding. Stay away from them, I will not recommend buying from this company.

1 star for a nice and clean showroom, however if you are unlucky enough to have mechanical issues with the car of your choice within relatively short period after buying the car, you are left on your own to deal with the situation. Your constant phone calls and emails are being ignored, you are given BS about salesman not being in that day having spoken to him an hour ago. I’ve had the car for 9-10 weeks only and recently discovered coolant leaks. Apparently a warranty period of 3 months should have been included as part of the sale but never received any documents. The car wasn’t cheap either so you’d expect it to last for some time. This is exactly the situation I’m in at the moment and thanks everyone at Chrome Motors for your professional approach. All I was politely asking for is your help or an answer on what I’m entitled to! Not happy.

Please read these reviews and stay away from theses robbers, all they want is your money!!!!!! The staff are rude, aggressive, and just don't want to know once they have what they want (your cash). Learn from my mistake and others take your business elsewhere.

Bought a car that was supposed to be in immaculate condition with everything working. Went in, expressed concerns about various things which they said they would sort...told me they'd had it checked by the garage and everything id asked for had been done so I paid. After I bought it it was evident the car hadn't been checked, the service book wasn't stamped, there were mistakes in the paperwork, there was only one key, they hadn't checked the service history like they said they would, I was locked out of the Bluetooth, the locking wheel nuts were stripped, the back heater was broken. The list goes on... To cut a long story short and numerous trips, fob offs, endless phone calls, empty promises and ALOT of effort I did get the locking wheel nut replaced and a new tyre and the car was taken to the garage and checked (to what level though is questionable given that they did not notice the dangerously worn brakes that I have since had replaced) BUT they knew nothing about the car, they had no basis for saying it was perfect cause it hadn't even been checked. Their after sales is terrible. Save yourself some money and buy private. This garage offers no benefits or extra piece of mind...

Sold a car advertised as full service history which was not the case cost me over £4000 in repairs which they will not take responsibility for. stay away from this garage

My first contact with Chrome Motors was by visiting their excellent website and I was impressed by the quality, range and pricing of their cars. From the moment my wife and I arrived we were equally impressed with the people and the welcome we received. Feeling under absolutely no pressure whatsoever we made our choice and were invited to take the Peugeot 3008 on a test drive. The car was immaculately presented and we decided there and then to buy it. Dealing with the person I dealt with was a most unique experience. We felt as though he was a good friend and was there to help us to buy the car that we wanted. I have dealt with many Main Dealers over the years, and can honestly say that dealing with the person I dealt with and Chrome Motors was probably the best yet.

Purchased a Citroen estate from Chrome Motors in Macclesfield a couple of weeks ago and have to say that they have looked after me really well. I had been searching around for a few weeks and the car i have ended up with was well priced and ticked all my boxes. The guys at Chrome looked after me really well and gave me a call a few days after i had collected the car to check that everything was ok. Will definitley recomend Chrome to family and friends.

You were very lucky
Chrome sold me a car that was junk. The cost of repairs will be greater than the value of the car. I rejected it within a couple of weeks of buying it. Chrome have been a disgrace. The worst garage I have ever dealt with. Arrogant and dismissive. Tomorrow I start court proceedings against them. Chrome are Rogue Traders. Do not deal with them.

Chrome Motors note the comment made by Adrianpen and wish to make the following response..
Adrianpen has been sold a vehicle by Chrome. He has reported that it was faulty and Chrome has recovered the vehicle from the customer to have it independently assessed regarding the faults alleged.
Once this has been done Chrome can then make an informed decision based on the independent inspection.
We look forward to sorting this matter to the satisfaction of the customer but there are procedures in place that have to be followed to protect all parties and to achieve a successful conclusion.

Purchased a Ford Focus cc on 11/8/16,the whole transaction carried out with great customer service the car was ready when I got there,all the paperwork completed quickly and they took their time to explain everything to you,no rush or pressure put on you to buy just a great relaxed experience,i would definitely recommend this car dealership when looking to buy a car

I arranged to test drive a vehicle at the Macclesfield dealership and the car was ready when I arrived. Literally within three minutes I was left to drive around the country lanes and get used to the car. Having decided to buy and part ex my old car the whole process was completed quickly and in a very friendly yet professional manner. I have considerable experience of dealing with car dealerships and sales people but this experience was like a breath of fresh air and I will certainly recommend them to friends and colleagues.

At Chrome, we let our customers go for a test drive unaccompanied so that they can fully assess the car in peace before they sit and discuss the deal. To describve our service as " a breath of fresh air" summs up our service.

Very friendly staff and lovely cars. Me and my wife were looking for cars for over a week and visited many car dealers, chrome motors really did go out of there way to make us happy, thanks chrome and keep up the good work

Our relaxed atmosphere at Chrome is what the customers appear to enjoy. Buying a car can be expensive and you have to make the right choice without any pressure.

I recently visited Chrome to enquire about a car I was looking for but they didn't have one in stock. I was welcomed by friendly staff in a nice open showroom, no hard sell just a promise to find the right car that suited my needs. Within the week my car was found, test drive complete and the car was mine! Cannot thank the staff enough for their dedication to my search and without promising they delivered above and beyond my expectations. Will definitely be returning for my next vehicle and will be recommending friends and family to do the same. Thanks once again, I'm delighted with my new wheels!

Chrome Motors has in stock at any one time in excess of 140 vehicles. Even so on occasion we do not have the exact car a customer wants. Chrome always go that "extra mile" when trying to find the right one and its great when the team achieve that, as in this case.

Bought a car from this company in August 2015. Too many faults to list, back to chrome on many occasions,always excuses. Took them to court and obtained a judgement by default only after applying for a warrant did they finally pay up. I would never ever recommend anyone to buy their vehicle from here,obviously there are some good reviews but sadly my experience has put me off for life. Can only say that if you have bought a not fit for purpose car from here stick with the legal route,it may take you 9 months, to get money back but it will be worth it in the end.

I am going through exactly the same. Chrome Motors are real Rogue Traders. Disgusting people. I start legal proceedings tomorrow.
