Broken promises 

Purchased a used car 12 months old which had some cosmetic damage 2 large scratches on the doors, deep chip on the handle and lots of chips on the bonnet. I was told if I bought the car all this would be fixed. I bought the car and was asked to pick it up at 7pm. When I collected the car I checked the main damage (2 large scratches and deep chip on door) the scratches had been fixed but the door handle wasn't completely fixed. I told the salesman I would take it but as it was late in the evening I would need to inspect further when I got home with a light. Once I got home I could see there was still lots of chips on the bonnet. I rang the salesman straight away who replied 'it's a used car, what do you expect'. I decided not to argue on phone and instead went into the dealership the next day. I met the sales manager who said again/ it's used, what do you expect. I explained that we bought the car on the condition this damage would be fixed, but he wasn't interested and insisted there was nothing they would do. He said the damage required a full re spray of the bonnet at a cost of roughly £350 and they would not pay this. I offered to go halfs to try and resolve the situation and again reiterated that the sale was based on the damage being fixed. Again the sales manager was still not interested. It seems Arnold Clark will lie to get a sale and then once you've paid will just not entertain you or try and help. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
