These guys were rubbish from start to finish. The first guy I got on the phone told me they had the camera in stock (Nikon D3100), that he would put one aside for me, and that they closed at 5.30pm. After looking at their website, I noticed that they closed at 5pm - when I rang to check, they said that in fact they normally close ten minutes before their official closing time of 5pm!
So I spent 40 mins racing into central London (we wanted to use the camera that same night) and got there 10 mins before 5pm. When I got there, they couldn't find the camera that had been set aside for me (?), and only had the same camera+lens but without VR; they said they could get it delivered to me within a couple of days, but when I explained I needed it that night, and was about to leave, they:
1) told me I couldn't use the camera the same night anyway, as it would need to be charged;
2) that I didn't need VR, and could save myself £35 by buying the non-VR version they had in stock.
This is rubbish:
1) when I did buy the camera (elsewhere), it charged fully in 1 hour (while sipping coffee at a cafe);
2) an absolute expert (professional photographer and trainer), who actually bothered to ask us the right questions about how we will use the camera, advised us that we *definitely* need a VR lens.
In other words, I got the impression these guys would say anything to make a sale - NOT what I would call good, unbiased advice.
Camera World are exactly the same price as everyone else for this camera (I'd just selected them for what I hoped would be better service), so I would highly recommend you go elsewhere.
