After discovering that Easy VHS to DVD conflicts with Nero, I uninstalled both and left Nero uninstalled but am still having problems such as when I "create a DVD" the picture has patchy, moving vertically horizontal lines similar to weak signal on HD TV set. I have received advice early on to delete "sonic" from the "application data" from the computer, but the problem still exists. I have wasted several disks and am getting angry that there is something in the program that makes it so erratic and ROXIO are not helpful. I would like to have known to Google this programs conflict problem before purchasing. Regards DJB

It is constantly locking up and I have to use means other than quitting to exit. I even have to unplug my computer to shut it down completely get out of the program. It is, far and away, the most frustrating program I have ever used. Not to mention that I have ruined so many formerly rewritable discs in the process. I did not like that the instructions were woefully inadequate. Procedures were unclear as well as the results of cancelling an action. Alternative functions are non-existent. Would have liked to know 2010 version was available and not find advertisments on it's homepage for that version upon installation. I am left with the feeling of being thoroughly ripped off. Thank you very much for the lesson in corporate group think, as usual.

I purchased Roxio Creator 2009. I have owned prior versions and have had to do numerous clean installs but generally I could get the program to work. Not so with the latest version. I have installed and clean installed five times and cannot seem to get it to work. Their customer service responds but in my opinion they provide no help and will not acknowledge problems with the version I have. Roxio Creator 209 will be my last purchase from Roxio. It now rest peacefully in file 13.

No creative options, problems keep popping up and the only way to get help is to buy new upgrades. I do not recommend wasting your money on Roxio easy CD/DVD creator.

I got roxio creator 9 with my computer and I have had lots of problems with burning AVI-files and the program crashes on VISTA, it also irritates me that I cant create custom menu styles, at least not without spending hours at the forums. Inflexible if you want to do anything except the most ordinary. May be good in some other areas but for DVD-burning its mediocre. If you buy it, prepare for some serious problem solving. Therefore I do not recommend Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator.

After installing and uninstalling 4 times it was put in file 13. Did not work at all on my Windows XP. Computer came with version 5 and now it has a hardware conflict everytime I boot up computer. No help from Roxio. Their uninstall program of some kind is no longer available. Would not recommend this program to anyone.

I don't have this progem an my computer so I have to make 12 back up disks only one time. I like to keep up with what is on my computer so I can just run the disk. I don't like to use the restore because it only has the Manufacturer's settings. That means I get programs I don't need.

The Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator program has been the best I have found so far.
I like to keep my programs on CD in case my computer crashes, as it did a few days ago.
The restore brings back the manufacturers programs and I don't use a lot of them. I would much rather have the specific programs I do use than a bunch of ones I don't.

So far I have only had problems with burning, I have not had a chance to use the other features since I still have not resolved the first issue. I am hoping a solution is near or I will be dumping this lemon and going with the new edition of Nero 7. From what I have read this system has compatibility issues with Windows Vista. Roxio claims Media Creator 9 is certified for Windows Vista. Well I think Mircosoft and Roxio ought to get on the same page before they give their blessings to the birth of this tripe.
I am even more disappointed in Dell for loading this rubbish on my system.
To sum this up I have used numerous Microsoft and Dell products and have had very few issues and when they happened they were resolved quickly and easily. I would urge Dell to dump Roxio and go with a company that will provide a quality product to their customers. I just spent a thousand dollars on my new dell computer so I could waste fifty dollars in discs testing their repairs.
Not Happy!!

Mine was free? With Dell, absolute rubbish, I will now buy something which works. If you are buying a Dell package don't buy one with a media package

I had Norton System Works Premier 2005 installed when I installed the Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator version 6 (ECDC) software. Norton Anti-virus was disabled by ECDC, and I spent a total of 18 hours on the phone with Norton trying to fix it. Norton could not fix it. I called ECDC's support line in Canada, and not only could they not help, but they were reluctant to believe there was really a problem. I later went to Norton's web site and found there was specific mention of problems caused by ECDC. I later went to Roxio's support web site, and also found mention of the problem I was having with Norton being disabled. I tried all solutions offered by each web site. None Worked. I finally reformatted my hard drive and re-installed WinXP Pro with SP-2. I installed my Norton System Works package and all my preferred software, except a CD/DVD burner. As I write this, I am searching for a quality burner I can afford.
