“Rural Sky? NO!”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 08/12/2012

I live in rural England and I can ONLY get sky connect which is BAD--they slow down your internet at peak times (e.g. when you come back from work or from school), there is a usage cap which is 40GB and unchangeable what makes it worse is that it is £10 (£17 opposed to £7.50) more a month than regular SKY Unlimited which my dad has in a house 2 miles away, and they say that I am not allowed it because of the phone lines whilst people down the street can get BT unlimited.
The speeds of my internet vary incredibly from 1Mbps-0.03Mbps and my friend down the street (Even further from the nearest telephone exchange) gets speeds about 100% faster from BT and more reliable.
Emails to SKY are very slow to get answered (1+days) and I'm not really happy about them ripping me off and me ,being tied to SKY Tv (which is good-got free SKY+HD box upgrade when my old SKY+ box broke ^_^) it is hard to find a better overall deal because my Tv bill would go up and the billing for the two companies would be harder, etc.
