I scheduled a 'seamless' transfer of broadband from Talk Talk to Sky using a MAC code. This involved the connection being unavailable during the day of connection which Sky regard as 'seamless'!
The connection after the first day never worked and I cancelled Sky before the 8 days cancellation period was up.
Please note that Sky provide a cheap router which must be used, using another router is against T&Cs.
To add insult to injury, Sky also managed to disrupt my land phone connection which I was also without during this time.
I suggest going to a professional provider such as BT, O2, Plusnet etc. definitely avoid Sky.
