I have called BT 19 times in the last two weeks trying to get our broadband sorted out. They promise speeds of 16MB and we get 0.4. Yep, that's not a typo, 0.4. The international call centre is a disgrace - if you can hear them talking to you you know they're telling lies. Each call took between 1.5 and 2 hours and I now know their script so well I could work there with no training - their 'advisors' clearly haven't had any. Every time you call they start the entire testing process from the beginning, promise call backs and engineer appointments that never happen. And in the meantime I'm trying to earn a living with internet speeds that mean I can't even listen to radio, let along watch the videos and access the different sites I need to.
I cannot tell you how stressful and frustrating it has been dealing with BT - you feel that you're losing your mind and get nowhere. It isn't possible to get across how much I hate BT. Next stop for me is OfCom and writing to the board. I'm going to move to another provider but have found this experience so horrendous I've no idea who to go for.
