"BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY"

I took out breakdown cover last year and received a discount for signing up on a rolling renewal basis. I was told that I could cancel the rolling renewal at any time. Shortly after taking out the membership I wrote asking them to cancel the rolling renwal and I received written confirmation that they had removed my credit card details from the membership. Last week I phoned up to renew after having received 2 written reminders and several phone calls (eventually reducing the renewal price from £234 for 2 of us to £134). I was told that my membership had been renewed the week before and guess what, they had used my 'deleted' credit card details. After threatening them with legal action and reporting them to my credit card company they gave me a refund. I have asked several times for an explantation of what happed but they have not replied. What a surprise..!! AVOID THIS COMPANY. I am now with the RAC at a much lower price. WOULD NEVER USE THE AA AGAIN.
