Ferroli F24B Gas Boiler

I had a Ferroli combi boiler F24B installed less than 6 years ago and have just discovered the heat exchange unit has gone. This will cost almost as much as the boiler itself to replace, not including labour. So I may aswell buy a new boiler. Avignon contacted Ferroli customer service to see if they could help in anyway, I was sent round the houses, given information that wasn't correct and basically left with the impression they don't actually give a damn. My boiler was out of warranty so not their problem. Would give 0 stars if I could.
