We purchased a tempur down quilt at the end of January 2016. We went to an outlet centre and they had the quilts on special offer for £199. Now this is more than we would normally pay for such an item but the sales assistant assured us it would keep us warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Being winter when we purchased the item we thought how love,y and warm it was but now the warmer weather is coming we are finding it so hot that most mornings the sheets on the bed are so sweaty that you can almost wring the water out of them. After a few weeks of this I thought I would write to Tempur. After more than a week we received an e mail to say that we should take the issue up with the tempur shop we purchased it from. Doh! It was a tempur shop and we did write to tempur. Also we were told to keep the room well ventilated. Don't we all? All in all I am not satisfied at all with the way this has been handled. It would appear to me that they are happy to take the money but as soon as there is an issue they pass the buck.

Having cause to contact the Customer Service team at Tempur UK I was very pleased with their level of support relating to a mattress protector. A freepost address was supplied for me to return the item to and when calling them it was easy to get through to the right department very quickly. I was fortunate enough to speak to the CS supervisor who was extremely understanding and helpful and arranged a gesture of goodwill replacement. Given the investment anyone makes when they purchase a Tempur bed (kingsize and 2 pillows in our case) retaining their goodwill for repeat purchases in the future and positive word of mouth is not a bad idea at all and I am delighted to be able to continue feeling very positive about Tempur. Thank you!
