I went to No. 4 recently and was truely impressed by the quality of the food. I had creamy butternut squash soup to start with white crusty bread - perfect for dunking! For the main I had the duck and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is lovely, quiet and intimate, with plenty of candles and easy going music in the background. The location is perfect, in the heart of Clifton Village and I'm hoping for a romatic meal there very soon!!

No.4 Restaurant & Bar is located as part of The Rodney Hotel in clifton, Bristol. It is under new management in recent months and it certainly shows!
This did not use to be a great place, its all changing now though..The team now running it seem to be a really friendly bunch who cant do enough for you. They are really flexible.
The food is superb, I believe they have a great local chef in now and have recently been awarded 2 AA Rosettes!
There is a really pretty garden which is fantastic when the weather is good!
I cant believe how good the prices are for the high standard of food thats on offer. They say that food is locally sourced wherever possible and always fresh!
Its a slightly smaller place than many but this has benefits. Its really elegant inside and for private bookings / parties of more than 20 guests they let you have exclusive use for no extra charge! What a bargain..!
