I am attending an italian photography school and they made us buy this book. I am totally loving it and I enjoy underlining all those fabolous quotes that would make even the saddest thing, feel inspired.
Susan takes you through her journey and there's so much to learn from it.
Forgive my english :)

On Photography is an interesting read for anyone wanting to look further into the history of photography and the theory behind it. Susan Sontag explores photography as a cultural phenomenon and how it became this way, which leads you to question why people started taking photographs in the first place. If you're studying photography then you will probably hear about this book at some stage, my advice is get it. It's a fascinating, insightful read and full of useful information and quotes for theory work.
