“FRAUDULENT COMPANY ”

The taxi was prepaid 145 pounds. . The pick-up was at st pancras international station at 3 pm. They first said they were late, then the car broke up, then couldn't find me at the station, then pretended they couldn't reach me on the phone : I called them about ten times! 1h45 later, they said they had no more taxi and that I had to look for another taxi ! They would refund me. They never did!  In terms of evidences on line, this company should be prosecuted.. a petition would be the ideal.

“Terrible service and rude drivers!would NOT recommend!”

I would give 0 out of 5 if i could. I booked this company to surprise my husband after returning from a lovely weekend away- i thought it would add a special personalised touch to the holiday and would be worth paying more for. I was told they park the car (hence the additional charges) and hold a sign up with your name on- I asked them to write my husbands name and this was all confirmed via email. They DO NOT provide a meet and greet- in fact after calling and chasing the driver on arriving to the airport (we arrived before he did so there was no real surprise for my husband) - he waved his hand to follow him from far away?! He had not parked up but left on the single yellow car- no sign no greeting no offer to help with luggage no introduction. On asking him to slow down and what was the rush he was rude and abrupt and shouted saying he does not provide a meet and greet and threatened to kick us out of the taxi! we merely clarified we had paid for a meet and greet service to which he replied 'you want me to wipe your shoes too'! he was beyond rude- we were tired and just wanted to get home! When highlighting this to the company they offered a mere £17 discount!!!! It was THE WORST service- the managers themselves are rude- if only I could share their emails 'what more do you want' as they had supposedly suspended the driver- that is no benefit to me when i went through what I did! I requested a refund as this journey really ruined the end of our trip and was unacceptable- the company were not willing to refund a single penny over this despite the horrific experience. I should have read reviews prior booking them- they happily take your money and you get ZERO customer service! Definitely NOT a professional or trusted company! The cheek of it all to ask me to write a review after I had no choice but to accept the £17 refund (or they threatened to only give £7 back) WHAT A JOKE!

“Hitchhike Instead - More Reliable than Great Britain Cars!”

I have used pre-booked taxi services across two different continents over a number of years, and I can confidently say that Great Britain Cars is without doubt the WORST taxi service I have ever had the misfortune of using. I truly cannot lambaste this company enough. Here is my story: I flew to London for a conference and pre-booked their concierge services for a fine sum (I won't say how much, but it was well over £100 - which I was happy to pay for peace of mind. Ha!). They were to meet and greet on arrival at Luton airport at 07h45, take me to my conference venue, and then pick me up at 17h30 so I could catch my returning flight. Simple enough, especially as I had made the bookings 2 weeks in advance and stressed that my schedule was tight, to which they reassured me there would be no problems. Being the naive fool I am, I believed them and set my mind to rest. Imagine my surprise when I arrived at Luton and found nobody waiting for me at the airport. After 15 minutes of asking strangers if they were 'looking for someone', I phoned the company (call logged 07h59 on my call history) to ask where my driver was because I could not locate him within arrivals. I was told over the phone 'Oh, he says he is about 10 or 15 minutes away but will be there soon'. Aggravated, I said something along the lines of 'I've not paid you over £100 to be here at 08h20, I've paid you to be here at 07h45', to which I was curtly told 'Yes well this is rush hour and there is a lot of traffic'! The end result is that I ended up being 30 minutes late for my conference because of this. Given my arrival experience, I thought it best to phone Great Britain Cars and remind them that they had to pick me up at 17h30 because I could not miss my returning flight, for which the gates closed at 19h25. I phoned them one hour prior to confirm that they will be picking me up at 17h30 - and the person on the phone said 'Yes yes, no problem, we know to pick you up at 17h30. Don't worry'. Well, 17h30 comes and goes and I am left standing on the street corner with nary a Great Britain Car in sight. Frantically worried about missing my return flight and being stranded alone in London with no money. I phoned the company again to ask where my taxi was, and was told again not to worry because the driver would be there in about 20 minutes! When he did arrive at 17h50, I informed him that should I miss my return flight due to this delay I would be taking legal action against the Great Britain Cars company. Needless to say he sped as fast as he could to Stansted airport, arriving at 19h05. This meant that I made it to the gate at 19h35 - 10 minutes after the gates were due to close, but thankfully there had been a slight delay with the flight which meant I made it after all - no thanks to Great Britain Cars. This also meant that I had to run right through Stansted airport in my cocktail dress sans my shoes and tights, with the delicate grace of a crazed water buffalo. All in all, if I were to return to London and found that Great Britain Cars was the only taxi service available, I would hitchhike from and to the airport instead. At least then I'd have peace of mind.

“Worst Car Service”

Worst Service Car Service. I organised a mini bus for 7 of my clients for an important meeting today (30/08/17). The car service was scheduled for 14:50. At 15:09 I called the company and was put on hold for 7-10 minutes while they phoned the driver. At 15:20 the driver finally called us directly and said we had to wait another 30 minutes. That would mean he would be an hour late. Unacceptable.

“To late, terrible service”

They came 1,5 hour late, and kept on promising 5 more minutes. Also they promised a refund, did never came.

“Great Britain Cars: Late, blamed each other and didn't...”

Booked with Great Britain Cars for an airport transfer on behalf of a work collegue. Made the booking the evening before for an early morning pickup. I was woken up at 4:30 by my work collegue when they didn't show up at that time. So I called the company and they said "10 mins" but they didn't even check where the driver was or even asked a booking number. Not only were they were late but they didn't care, they only despatched their car after we called them asking where the car was.. They kept saying 10 minutes. Half an hour late and they finally showed up. They did the blame game – the company said the driver was informed an hour before pickup, the driver said he was just informed at 4:40 (after pick up time). This company isn't organised. I hope my work collegue gets to the airport on time. They did not once apologise. Don't book with these guys if you're watching time, they're not reliable. Don't be fooled by the price, if you'd rather piece of mind. It's not worth it.

... organising DIY holidays is a nightmare but once you have the hotels and flights sorted out, airport transfers can ruin it all if you are unlucky to find unreliable minicab companies. i am very pleased to find greatbritaincars.co.uk who offered great value for money with reliable service, professional drivers and of equal importance ... clean cars. a great start to our holiday ... will definitely be using again. book and use with confidence :-)
