The best and only good part of XL is that their fares are cheaper than other airlines.

Negatives:
* No online check-in
* No kiosk check-in (at JFK or CDG)
* No pre-flight seat selection
* Takes a long time to check-in
* The food is terrible- it's the stereotype of airline food
* TVs are small and few- obviously no individual tvs at your seats
* No wifi for purchase

So if XL is WAY cheaper, yes I'd fly it again. But only for that reason. And I'd bring enough food to last the flight.
