Ramondogonzalasrodregas's review of Winchester model 1000 with Winchester scope

“Accuracy, group size, recoil”

For those of you who complain about making the air rifle group well you need to buy a pellet test kit and shoot at least 30 or 40 varieties of pellets of different manufacture, weight and type. You will find no air rifle shoots a particular pellet well and you will need to do your work and find the one that fits your rifle. If you put 10 model 1000 rivals side-by-side each one would prefer a different pill it type and weight. I find the same with Blackpowder muzzleloader rifles by the way. It does have a hard trigger pull but that is not unusual for the style of rifle and piston design. I recommend that someone purchasing any air rifle invest in the test kit I speak of. The one I purchased was from straight shooters at straightshooters.com. For this model 1000 I found a pellet that would group 5 shots in 1 inch at 70 feet. Out of 36 pellets tested the Beeman Kodiak double gold 10.6 grain performed pretty well for me. That's about as good as you're going to get. Remember that you get what you pay for and this is not a high-end air rifle.
