“Second one of these little crackers.”

★★★★☆

written by on 07/06/2012

Just purchased my second one of these - bought first one 4 years ago. The first was brilliant - was working fine when I sold it - howevever it had done 22,000 miles and given the number of miles I have been doing I decided to replace it - I was so happy with the first I replaced it with the 2012 model from Learner Legal.com - the same company I used for the first purchase. firstly let me tell you about the differences - the first one of these I purchased came in a box, you had to put on the front wheel and handle bars. This is no longer the case, the new bike was wheeled straight to my door fully assembled and ready to go. The second difference was the side stand switch. The older model had an electronic switch on the side stand that when wet used to cut the ignition - I had to have this disconected on the original bike. This has now gone - the new model has a spring loaded automatic retracting side stand that springs up when you level the bike before riding - a massive improvment and it has solved the most well documented issue with these bikes. The build quality seems improved - plastic parts are now metal, the weld seams are neet (used to be a little visable), the engine now benefits from a fuel filter. The ride remains fantastic and effortless, handling is great. All in all a great value bike made even better. Just wish they would ad a fuel gauge. Still you cant have everything for a little over £700.

Hia - Yea try Rampdale (just google it). They specialise in insuring Chinease bikes. Alternatively join the owners club (yes there is one - again just google) - they have an exhaustive list of insurers who cover these. Many companies may not have them listed on there internet applications but can find the bike if you phone them and give you a quotation.

Other than this enjoy. For what you pay these are fantastic little bikes that are fun to ride.

Hia - yes try Rampdale (you can google it). Cheap and specialise in Chinease motorcycles.

Oh - and make sure every now and then you get your chain re-tensioned. You wont regret the buy.
