From Ireland,
I don't know how it happened but my 28 & quot; Widescreen TV is now locked.
If I press the button on the top of the TV (Vol +, Vol -, Prog +, Prog -) it brings up the & quot;Locked & quot; message on the screen and about 5 seconds later the TV goes back to standby mode.
There seems to be no response from the remote, although it was working fine before TV became locked.
How do I unlock the TV?
The manual says that locking/unlocking the TV is done via the Menu screen, but seeing that the remote isn't repsonding I can't get to the Menu screen. -

Here's a few sites to help and I've read your manual after downloading from Philips's homepage, but I did find a replacement remote control place in the UK.

Or check out Philips's homepage and contact their Customer Care care either for a solution or ask them how much for a replacement remote?

From UK,
This has happened to my Philips 28PW6305. Just the same thing.
It's not a remote problem as it still controls my Philips DVD player and also in the few seconds before the TV switches off, the remote signal is recognised by the TV - indicated by the LED flashing at the front.
Philips customer services etc. have been useless.
Has anyone worked out a solution to this problem yet?
