    From Rochdale,

    I have a Phillips cool green TV which is 2 years old. It has just developed a prolbem where by when switched on, it defaults to standby mode and will not switch on fully.

    Any assistance/advice would be most welcome. This TV cost me a grand!

    From Scotland,

    You may need to either take it to certified Philips TV Engineer or have one come and see it and here's a link from Philips where you can search for a recognised Philips TV Engineer as follows;

    From Modena,

    this is only the beginning, then you will have lines on the screen, then the image will turn to red, to blue.. no need to take to the service, they will first try to fix a thing, then after a month you will have the same problem and they will ask you 700USD for a new defective tube, give up.. for your problem you ahve to go to the TV and press the on off button and then switch it on again and wish you wont have the problem again for a while. see the other messages posted on this site, same problem for all of us..
