    I've just bought a Sony KD32DX150 TV with digital and analogue receivers and also have an NTL digital cable box all connected via scart.

    I can watch digital and record analogue, but is there a way of recording a digital channel using the internal digital receiver at the same time as watching digital TV through the cable box?

    Well it can be done but it's a matter of trying to find which pin on the scart that carries the macrovision security scramble that tells your video recorder to scramble. Any sites that I have read can talk about it but they cannot say exactly which pin it is or they will face prosecution by Macrovision or the originator of the movie
