I saw this website that has a lil aparatus that will increase ur milage by 2 and if u add a pump it will increase ur milage up to 4x.

This is how it works, power is taken from the battery and used through a process of electrolosis of water to split water into hydrogen and oxygen (very simple if u dont know), the hydrogen + oxygen is then feed via a pide into ur air filter, the sucton of the engine then sucks the hydrogen + oxygen + air into the engine with fuel, the little amount of hydrogen thats added to the combustion adds more power with less fuel, so you can drive ur car on less fuel because the hydrogen(which is made from water and electricity(from ur batterie)) makes up for the petrol that ur car would normally be burning.

I was think...ok sounds good but could somthing bad come of this... When hydrogen burns, it forms water vapor(steam), i first thought maybe having steam forming in ur engine could be a bad thing but then i realise that people pay to have the internal of their engines steams to de-carbonise it.

What i would like to know is can u guys think of a reason why adding hydrogen to the engines burning mixture could hurt the car in anyway??

    hi
    water in engines...
one obvious problem is the oil being washed off the bore sides, to the engine is not lubricated. you can get piston rings that can deal with this.
safety: you would only generate as much as you use, ie there'd be no storage issue. even if there was it can be stored more safely than petrol - in very carefully controlled situations which are achievable but not currently viable.
corrosion: it's difficult to know how serious this issue is.

i have never seen running one of these engines. i'm told they exist. maybe they do. if so we have a major change in many things in life just round the corner as soon as companies decide that enough people know that they may as well make the things.

    but... do they work?
