Can anyone let me know PLEASE if there is any way this can be done?
Im getting desperate to get rid of this brick.
P.S Has anyone else noticed how useless the call centre is you always get through to when calling 3?
It took them three months to get my first bill out to me cause they could understand my address. -

I'd like to know this too. Do you have the NEC e313? Wanna use the 3 sim in my old Nokia -

You can only use your 3G sim card in a 3G phone. Sorry to tell you. -

Sorry to tell you, but you now can.
Go to a few local phone shops (you'll know the wee dodgy ones I'm talking about) and they can now install a chip that allows the use of 3 networks sims.
Mine has worked fine my old Nokia for 2 months. -

what do you mean by installing a chip?
So if I got a triband phone like Nokia 5230, they will open it and install a chip inside? -

The fact is that there is no way you can use a 3G sim card provided by Hutch-3G UK in another GSM or a handset provided by another service provider. If you do it may work for a few days ( If at all it works). After that since 3 can see what handset you are using as the IMEI gets transmitted while you are logged onto 3 network, then they will simply block you sim card and send you a new one which may take a few months and you would be without service paying your rentals. Think about it when you do it.
