I went to Gumbet last year and had an amazing time. You're only a short ride by the dolmus (some tiny little turkish bus that smells a bit but is well worth the experience) from Bodrum which is a little bigger than Gumbet and has some beautiful restaurants overlooking the sea. There is a water park in the area as well which cost about £10 I think but for us was the best day of the holiday, with a large variety of slides. There are quite a few good bars in Gumbet a euro-pop disco which I decided was better of avoiding. The only bad thing is all the people hastling you everytime you walk down the street trying to sell you fake Louis Viton Bags or entice you into their restaurant. THe best way to deal with them is to avoid eye contact and never break your stride, while this is quite rude if you don't you'll end up very poor and never get anywhere. I also recommend checking out the traditional turkish food. Have a good one

Hi Anna, I tried leaving my contact details last time, but they were removed. However I have been told that I can leave my home email address cummings.family@dsl.pipex.com
If you get in touch we can swap information and have a chat about what to expect from Gumbet for the family.
Cheers,

I strongly recommend you DON'T visit 'GUMBET JEWELLERS' as I bought a diamond ring and was told it was the best VS1 quality only to find when I had it valued back in England, it is worth £250.00 LESS than I paid. I did write to the owners of Gumbet Jewellers, but they did not reply. Have a good holiday. -
