My 12yr+ cat has stopped eating, but still wants to eat and asks for food, but when given a choice still does not eat, but is now drinking more than usual. Overall the weight is falling of the cat, but blood tests and x-rays have shown nothing - any ideas?

    Sounds like kidney trouble.

How is your cats teeth? If they are in need of a dental then they can stop eating.

    Definitely sounds like kidney trouble.
I will soon post a separate message about this subject precisely.
Your cat sounds in need of hydration. Please take care of this right away.

A vet can conduct a test for CRF - chronic kidney failure.
Also please note that this disease usually strikes older cats, as your own.
