Sorry to tell you but there is no way of unblocking a phone tat has been barred except by changing the IMEI which is illegal, no one that unlocks phones will chance their business changing an IMEI.

The other way is if the network turn it back on but if the phone is not urs, then your out of luck.

    Hi there,

I'm in the same boat as I bought a phone and have since found it barred by Orange.

Did you ever manage to get around it???

    Thanks,
    Claire

I have a shop in Dublin. I do mobile phone unlocking and repairs etc but I would not unblocked a robbed or stolen phone.

I am sure any one else from UK on here in the same situation as myself would not do it as it is illegal and we wouldnt risk our whole business for 20 pounds,I wouldnt any way.

I am not sure about the law in other countries but I know it is illegal to change the IMEI on a phone in Ireland and UK. You can get 5 years in prison and/or fine. That aint worth 20 pounds. plus lose my business.

If your phone is straight, Orange will unblock it for you for £20 contract or 'pay as you go' 07973100150 or 450 from your handset
