    a question for those of you who know a lot more about this than me. can the JVC THV70R be made multi region either through code or firmwear upgrade? thanks for reading.

    Yes it can be. I have one (which I purchased for a modest £300, £50 extra for making it a multi-region.) I got mine from Richer Sounds which have many stores throughout england. If you call them I'm sure they would help you as they are generally an excellent place to buy stuff from.

    I was a bit uncertain about paying the extra as I originally owned a Wharfedale 750 (the god of budget players) and managed to get a hack for it. However, not wanting to wait for my new model to be hacked into, I decided to get the upgrade - girlfriend with me at time probably made me stop being stubborn and pay the extra cash.
