I've been playing the trumpet for a couple of years and am going to learn to play the saxophone. I've got about £300 to spend, can anyone recommend a good one for a beginner? and a good shop to get it from? Cheers. -

Ive been playing a beginner alto for about 5 years now, and ive been considering getting a new horn. Ive narrowed it down it the Yamaha custom z, the selmer series III paris, and the Keilwerth sx90 shadow. Im testing each out later this year, but i was just wondering what other musicians thought about these horns, any opinions they have and such. If anyone could give me some thoughts on whether one is better than the others or something like that, i would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks, saxplayer -

yo start out, you should use an alto. perfect for beginners.
a selmer is good for beginners. and you would probably want to rent first before buying, just to make sure. and if you are going to buy one, buy a good quality one from a brand like yamaha. that's what i have.
