Welcome to the world of digital cameras. I understand there are a few out there that have battery life of a couple of hours. I have a Sony DSC-75 which takes a battery similar to a video camera and I'm able to shoot for about 3 hours before the battery loses power. I don't think one AA battery is better than another as far as long life goes. Do you have the option of turning your LCD off? That's a big drain on the battery too.

    Hi Julie

I did a double take when I saw your enquiry I too have bought the same camera and I had the same problem, my name being Julie too I thought I don't remember writing this.

My solution is to make sure you turn off the screen at every opportunity. AND buy rechargable batteries, with a spare set.

I formatted my computer last week and now I can't upload pics anymore, thats my problem with it at the moment.

I am thinking of getting a Goodmans'GDC3116'. Are they any good? The reason i am thinking of this one , is that it is just a camera and not a video, this means that you are paying for the high pixels and not the video and the rest of the rubbish that i dont think i will use. I just want a good digital camera and a good price and i think that the Goodmans is a good allrounder. I hope you can spare the time to give me a small review. Many thanks chris.

Hi. Crying or Very sad My installation disk that came with the camera has corrupt files preventing the usb connection from working correctly. I'm looking for alternative drivers now.

If your camera uses AA batteries the best type are rechargeable NiMH of 1700mAh (milli amp hours ) or better. Also a separate plug in battery NiMH battery charger is a good idea,

I find batteries don't last long too. I have a polaroid PDC3030 which I like very much but it eats batteries. I don't think they recommend rechargable for it either which is a shame.

My problem at the moment is trying to use the LCD outside. It disappears completely when there's any light. Trouble is, I am finding it hard to frame the image centrally when using the normal viewfinder. It may be just an issue of practising with it until I get it right - I haven't had the camera that long - but I am off on a special holiday soon and don't want to find I've got to spend hours rejigging the photos to get the main image centralised.

I'm quite fed up of getting what I think is a good image only to find when I look at the LCD that I've chopped the top off!

Perhaps it is just that I need more practice.
