How much are my old star wars action figures worth? They aren't boxed but they are original from about 1978.

    Not much.

Action figures lose their value greatly the minute you take them out of their original packaging.

    But still worth a lot

An unboxed original boba fett can still get you a couple of hundred quid if he has all his accessories

Has anyone else noticed that the quality of toys (especially figures etc.) has drastically deteriorated over the years? I remember my Action Man from the late 70's (eagle eyes model) and my Star Wars and G.I.Joes figures from early 80's; their build quality was leaps and bounds over the tacky, plastic, cheap stuff they peddle to today's youth. It seems as technology has advanced, less Crying or Very sad effort and attention goes into the design of toys. Pity...

the corporate goal is to make as many toys as possible for the least amount of money. as technology advances, they can make cheaper and cheaper products with different materials of a lower quality. the same type of products aren't expected anymore.
