help - decisions???

I am looking to buy a PDA for my son for christmas. He is just going to start his A levels. Ideally it should have MP3, voice recording and handwriting recognition. I do not want to pay a huge amount of money



I have been recommended Palm Tungsten T or Toshiba E330



Any advice on what would be the best for him
