Can't delete songs on Lyra and reload

I have 21 songs on lyra 1070 which loaded easily the first time, now when I went back to delete songs and load new ones the Music Jukebox program will not recognize the player hooked up to the computer. I have read that this could be caused by me running Windows xp, but if this is the case, why did it work the first time? No support to help you from RCA CENTRAL. Player works awesome they just need to make software and hardware more easiy compatible.
