Jan, reading some of the same complaints appearing on this forum, it seems there is a design fault with the Bosch Dishwasher SGS5302GB. There have been some problems with water not draining and it has been found to be the Control Module PCB behind the front panel. It has happened twice now on my dishwasher. First time the Module was replaced under warranty, now it is out of warranty and too expensive to replace. Do you know which component on the PCB is faulty so I can repair it. I have an electrical background but not good enough to component level on this PCB.
With switch ON, there is a horizontal line illuminated on the DRY position. Temperature range settings light as normal.Water remains after wash cycle.Cannot reset to start.

Jan, my dishwasher buttons turn red when I turn the switch to turn it on and it makes a humming noise, but does not fill up with water and wash. Also it will sometimes fill with water if push on it and then it will get stuck again and I have to use a cup to drain the water out. I think one day I used too much soap and while it was running some water ran out and caused this problem. What do I do? -

Hello,
I own a Siemens SE25230FF dishwasher that has run into problem. It does not wash properly and the "Super" and "Eco" indicators are both lit during a cycle, instead of having just one of them lit. So, I am almost sure the machine needs a reset. Do you know how to do so ?
Thank you and best regards. -

Hello Jan
We have a Siemens SE262939B dishwasher, about 4 years old that has just developed a fault around mid cycle.
It appears that following the wash cycle the pump doesnt turn off and runs on and on. The dishes are clean except for a film of detergent possibly (might be rinse aid?). The water has all gone and the unit is hot inside suggesting it has started drying cycle. The time left on the timer was 70 minutes and 45 minutes on the two occasions I made a note of it.
I have tried resetting the unit but this does not seem to work however if I leave it turned off overnight I can reset it in the morning, but the problem repeats itself.
The engineer is due out on the 28 December but having an electronics background Im pretty sure I could fix it if I knew what to look for.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Yes got it sorted Jim.
The engineer came out over Christmas and diagnosed the fault with the flow valve and pressure chamber and an associated filter that was blocked. I think the actual problem was the filter but they changed the other 2 items as a precaution. Apparently this had got clogged with food debris, his quote was "its not a waste disposal unit you should rinse plates first".
Assuming the information I was given was corrrect, the filter is not a user accessible one and is located in the base of the unit along with flow valve and pressure chamber. Unfortuantely I didnt see them do the work as they decided to take the unit away and repair it in the shop.
The parts cost £57.58 inc VAT plus I think I paid another £100 labour, delivery/collection and call out over 2 visits.
Good luck

Hi Jan,
I have a Bosch slimline diswasher ( 3 yrs old).
For the past year it has intermittently stopped working. When this happens it just switches on and makes a humming noise, but no water comes in. When it was under warranty the engineers (joke) came round 4 times to fix it but could find no fault. They always ended up tipping it onto its side and then it would start again. They said that a safety feature had kicked in because there was water inside the machine somewhere around the floor, (not in the main compartment). This has now happened again and tipping it on its side does not seem to work. I have tried to get at the pump, but don't have the right tools to undo the bolts/nuts.
What could this be?
Thanks

I have a shu9922 that will not drain. It runs through the cycles but has several inches of water left at the end, will not pump it out. The cancel/drain feature does nothing. Any ideas? -

Hi,model no Siemens SL2631GB , 7 years old approx. New control unit about 3 years ago. The dishwasher stopped during the rinse cycle, it was towards the end, as the dishes are clean. The display appeared to be normal,(horizontal bar indicating the cycle stage) but there is a small dot in the bottom right corner, which I don't remember being there before. I have reset it, and the cycle appears to start normally, but then doesn't fill with water. No sound from the dishwasher at all. We have checked the water supply, the filters we can access, and the drain hose. It stopped in the middle of clearing up after a party. -

Hi There,
I think this place has stopped giving advice. I asked a question back in June but got no reply.
