English Version of PPC 2003

    This will seem a silly question to experienced users! But I am new to this technology.



    I have a new IPAC 1940 that was supplied with a GERMAN version of pocket pc 2003.

    How can I get an English version instead?

    Seems it MUST go back to the supplier for a new ROM! Such is life!

    I have exactly the same problem. I have been quoted £171 plus Vat for the English version to be insalled...... Crazy! £200! I can buy and English one for £240.



    Did you find a cheaper way of getting the English version installed?

    I had the same quote. Seems that an 'upgrade' is not possible since it never had Pocket PC 2002 on that model, and it must be a hardware upgrade.

    I was lucky, it was a freebie from the German HP peaople, and they have offered to take it back and change it for me. My other option was to sell it on and buy a different one.



    Sorry, no other alternatives that I am aware of.
