Reason i don't want contract is cause some months i only use about £5 of credit and others i can use about 30.

Before i go to hassle of changing my number with friends etc, just wanted to know exactly how it works

Yes the £10 kicks in after your 300 texts have finished - provided of course you haven't used it on calls. I'm like yourself, i would let the texts run out some months and just work off the credit before adding another tenner, otherwise i could end up with a lot of money sitting wasting on my phone credit. You can also contact your current provider to have the number carried with you - I did it for my kids. 02 web page shows how. you just get confirmation and a code from your current provider. good luck.

I have 15 o2 simcards that have 300 txts per month so long as u top up with £10 a month...i also have 2 virgin sims that do the same thing as the 02 but as 400 txts...selling at 37.00 EACH INCLUDING P+P.....email me at KELLETTE1@HOTMAIL.COM...in u r intrested...

Hiya I was wondering if there was a number you could call from your mobile to find out how many free texts you have remaining?

I have a genie sim card and i lose track of how many I use, it would be helpful to find out how many was left:!:

thought i'd let you know. 02 give away free sim cards (yes the 300 free texts ones) now and then you just have to catch them!they did it last monday.i currently have about 20. if anyone can give me a centre number to get free txts on my other 02!! sim promise to send you a sim card.
