Does anyone know the multi-region hack for a Hitachi DVPF3?

hi i too need this hack. To make the Hitachi DV-PF3E multi region. Does any one have it? thanks, Craig.

Go to http://www.wrang.com/hitachi/Hitachi_DVPF3E.htm

Download the two files and burn them on CD-R disk. Follow the procedure below:-

Connect DVD to TV. Switch ON your Combi from the Standby Button on the right and choose DVD Output from the first button two inches right of the DVPF3E clock LCD display
Open tray and put the < DVPF3E Hack > CD on the tray WITHOUT closing it !!!!!!
Press "9", "8", "7", "6", "SEARCH MODE" and “OPEN/CLOSE/EJECT” buttons in succession from the remote.
The Firmware Upgrade will inform you its progress on TV.
Wait for about 5 to 10 minutes and CD tray will open automatically
Un-Plug from Mains and then power ON again.
Your Hitachi DVPF3E is now Multi-Region

I've gritted my teeth, closed my eyes, prayed for a bit of luck and tried it.

IT WORKS!

Thanks for the tip. My wife went on a visit to Canada, bought a couple of DVDs then nearly cried when we couldn't use it in a player purchased in Austria.

Now its all smiles!

Bought Hitachi DV-PF3e yesterday and at the shop they told me to look for region hack codes on this site. So I did and I downloaded the 2 files (took about 30 minutes) burned them on a CD-R and did as they told me and YES during 5 minutes I could read on my TV screen: Reading and then programming and then the CD-R came out. Took the ac out of the sockett for 1 second and then back in again and everything was working perfect.

I tried this hack with the DV-PF4E model and you get as far as opening the firm ware menu and then you get the error message "disc error" so does anyone know the correct files to download to complete the hack ?

I have been looking for a hack for the Hitachi DVP F4E for ages, hasent anybody got the right files to download? or another way to make it multi-region plz
