Ok this is proberbly a neards question but here goes,
!st I want to record me fav CDs on to some other kind of media that will hold the data so that it can be played through a 12 volt system tha has as a minimum a good G shock capability with a decent power capability.
To explain a bit better we have a fast boat that bangs around a lot and I want to listen to music through the system that will suffer a load of shock,My idea at present is buy a Sony sport walkman and an amp that is installed in the boat and plug the walkman in to the amp when on board,But I beleive the problems are that the 12v amp will burn loads of amps therfore its a non starter and the speakers are also not in cabinets so this will also need doing ?Any body got any good ideas of how to get a decent sound system onto a boat that bounces around and doesnt stop playing on every wave,We have a onboard laptop that we use for our nav stuff, can we use this and if so what 12v amp is good and what good speakers could also be installed.
The total area that needs the sounds is no more than aprox 7ft by 12 ft room size. One sugestion has been to use a computer h fi system but I am not ofay with a good one and am not sure this will run of 12 volt withought a 240 v inverta which will use to much power when we are not running the engine.
Thanks for anybodys help.
