I purchased a nice new Samsung scd23 digital camcorder with no cd. The cd is titled :Samsung

DVC Media 5.0 & quot;. Can anyone help me.

I have it in front of me right now, but I can't get it to work. It just tells me I can't install it on my system because of wrong operating system which I don't really understand since I am running windows ME. It says & quot;window 98SE driver! do not install on other system! & quot;. I thought 98SE and ME were the same as far as DLL's, etc. Anyway I could get a copy to you somehow, just let me know.

I purchased the SCD180 in the USA but I am having serious trouble (read: not able) to get my images on my PC, tried it on XP and 98SE. Could you send me also a copy (by E-mail if possible?) of DVC media 5.0? Maybe this program works better. Or do you know a location where I can download it?

We have all been trying to find it. There is a basic version located on samsung's sight but I cant get it to work.

I refuse to run win xp because I am a serious gamer and will stick with "win me" on my high end machine because it is superb for games.

Winme has a program built in to read your still photos and I purchased Pinnacle Studio8 DV from Dell and it is awesome. you can do everything with it including stills. I think it was about 65.00.

If you get that you wont need the samsung program. It comes with a firewire card and cable also.

I downloaded the software off of the samsung site but how do you work it? It says you plug the camera into PC and the images appear and they don't. Can anyone help me???

Best thing to do is to drop that software and use something like Pinnacle studio software. It gives you more possibilities and less problems. I have been trying to install DVC on my PC, without any luck.
