I had a problem with BULKPAQ dvdr's skipping near the end of the movie, tried out some Ritek and The One dvdr's and haven't had a problem. If you plan on burning your own dvdr's make sure they have a deep purple dye. Enjoy, keep me posted on the region hack........!

I ordered my from Argos they said 21 days, four days later they phoned to ask when they could deliver it.

The system is awesome, sound quality and picture is excellent. I will keep my old video recorder and give this one to my son at Christmas.

Any way the region hack would just make it perfect!!!

It will turn up anytime, mine said 3 days delivery, 3 weeks later it arrived !!! That's after speaking to someone at Argos who said delivery was set for 8th September, it then turned up at my OLD house on the 1st September. It's still way cool though, but I ain't got a hack yet.

    I agree,

I am waiting for my system to arrive from Argos (28 & quot; version)20 days and counting. Since there was a hack code for the 150 and 160 version I am hoping that someone will finally track down a multi-region hack for the 170 model. I really dont want to hold onto my old dvd player just to play region one disc. Looking forward to pumping out that sound system though!!

I bought the 32 inch package from Argos, £699.99 (widescreen tv, nicam 6 head video, dvd player with cinema sound and speakers), skips on some dvd-r's and vcd's (only tried bulkpaq dvd-r disks at the moment) and doesn't play dvd+r's at all, play originals fine. The sound is very nice, got the cable box and video running through it to get the maximum out of the speakers, turn it above 10 on the volume and it's fantastic! Defo needs a region hack though, I don't want to have to plug another cyberhome dvd player in just because the hitachi one can't play multi-region (at the moment). The previous 2 models had region hacks so you can only assume this one has as well.

That is the package I am looking to buy, except it is out of stock for the next 21 days. Only thing I need now is a multi-region hack for the DVD player.

I brought the package from Argos about 6 weeks ago. I can't fault it at all. At £499 for a 28 & quot; wide screen tv, a video recorder (twin speed and video plus) and a home cinema surround sound DVD player which also plays Mpg's, MP3's, DVD's, CDi's and cd's. Sound is very good and it looks pretty stylish too!
