usb mp3 stopped working

Maybe someone can explain what the hell happened to my mp3 player. I had it plugged in as normal after 1 months use with no problems. I formatted the drive added new mp3s to th 128 mb mp3 player/flash drive as normal. pulled it out using the safe manner to remove. Then when i plugged in the headphones to listen I Heard nothing. I tried new batteries new headphones. reinstalling mp3s etc. It seemed to be working fine as a flash drive but no longer will it play the mp3s through the ehadphones. the play button works but instead of playing the songs jst flashes red and the thing itself is dead as dodo. Has anyone come across sucha problem. is it possible to blow the amplifier on these things or mess up the play back software or whatever runs these things. I only bought it afew weeks ago and it was fine. iam using win xp as operatingsystem and as I said it works fine still as a flash drive but the main reason I bought it which is to play msuic is now kaput. Any clues out there? Thanks

my mp3 has also done exactly the same everything u have described has happened 2 it and everything u described u have done i have done!!!

i really need mine sorting out!

please someone help us!

do i need it 2 be fixed or what??!!!
