I can't seem to get that hack to work on my dvd player. Does it definitely work and i'm doing it worng?? The pressing numnber one trick works fine, but that stop sign is really annoying.

Hi tried both hacks no joy the version one seems more promising do you have to go into each menu and then exit or can you exit straight from the version screen?

I really am desperate to get this working can anyone help??

I've seen this Hack posted so many times over the past few years. It has yet to work for me in any way what-so-ever.
The 'Multi', 'Pal' & 'NTSC' that appear on screen are nothing to do with the 'region' of the disc, they are there to show the output mode.
The only thing this Hack seems to do on my unit, is bring up the version menu, perhaps, on later models there is a way of effecting the region code through this part of the menu. Who knows!
