I have a 1999 honda civic and the check engine light is on. I had auto zone check out the code and see what it was and they said it's my oxygen sensor near my catalytic converter. When I bought the car it didn't come with an owner's manual, so can someone please check their manual to see how long the emissions warranty last. Thanks.

All I can find in the mass of paperwork is mention of a 2 year unlimited mileage mechanical warranty, 3 year paint surface and 6 year corrosion. Strange, though, that this problem should occur so soon in the life of the car. Try appealing to Honda (although they don't usually care once they've got your money).

primary and secondary(the one your talking about)oxygen sensors are covered for 3 years or 50,000 miles (which ever comes first) in california- they are covered for 3 years or 36,000 miles everywhere else

I got the information. Most of emissions is a 3 year warranty. The catalytic converter is 8 year warranty. We found a crack in my manifold which in my car is one with the cat. converter so it's under warranty. Thanks anyway guys.
