    i'm glad to find out that someone on this damn planet knows where to get stuff from for the J70. but havin to buy a cd in order to get a wallpaper. an do it include ringtones an logos too?

    RE: Data cable for Sony j 70. All the ones I have seen on E-Bay are the type that an engineer uses not the one to load ring tones and logos etc so you all be careful on what you’re buying. The order code for the cable is SJ5-9P @

    Don’t worry I am not a sales person but I know how hard it is to find the rite cable. If anyone finds free stuff for our beloved j70 I would appreciate a message on the board or contact me direct. I am new to all this so any help welcome.

    I have the RTM60301 38060403 data cable, and have downloaded the correct software for the Sony CMD-J70. Anyways to cut along story short, after spending £20 and 3 months, still no wallpaper changes... any help would be appreciated!

    Well after 3 cables I thought the only option would be to order it from Sony!

    NOPE I built it my self!

    butchering an old cable and following someones diagram, It was easy!

    Beware most of the cables every one gets for the J series are for service commands ONLY ( a sort of programming mode), I mean they are SERVICE Cables, not DATA cables! Data cables will allow you to change the wallpaper, ringtones and download your scheduler and phone book!
