i wan't to buy a cell phone that will also work in spain...the frequency in spain is 900/1800 mhz and in the USA is 850/1900 mhz...if i purchase a motorola t720, will i be able to use it in spain? is it triband that cell phone? -

T720 is a dual band GSM phone. Triband phones are Motrola Timeport series, v.60 and v.66. You must have in mind the network type - is it TMDA, CDMA or GSM. Spain uses GSM(like the whole Europe), but most of the american networks are CDMA or TDMA. Of course there are many GSM networks:). If the network is GSM 900/1800 MHz T720 has no problems, but you will not be able to register in 1900(PCN) GSM network(here you will need triband phone). You would better see the USA GSM providers. Moreover Motorola has dual standard phoes(for example CDMA/GSM or TDMA/GSM), but for more information for this phones you should ask Motorola. Motorola is the DOYEN in these triband and dual standard phones.
