it sounds to me as though he is trying to con you all, he will simply send you a resistor built into a plastic socket, this fits onto the lambda sensor in your car, it tells your ECU that the engine needs to inject more petrol, it will probably give a max of 5% increase in power, it probably wont help your MOT either!

Anyone thinking of buying one of these must first ask if it's an actual ECU chip, as this is what a real Superchip is. It replaces your car's existing ECU with a re-mapped one which is specific to your vehicle, and these can not be fitted in less than 10 mins. If you cant get a guarentee that it is a real re-mapped ECU for your vehicle DO NOT BUY IT as it will be a cheap resistor that tricks your car into using more fuel, these can be bought from people on e-bay for as little as £3.00. Just be careful.

no chip can provide that sort of output unless it is professionally fitted with garanutee! and tested on the rolling road before and after, this however will cost you £250+. exact ECU resistor is required!!!!! thanks for reading.

new mini one's phase 2 gets 30bhp from a super chip but unless u own a turbo ur car wont get 30+ bhp, only like 3 - 15bhp dependin on model, if u go to www.superchips.co.uk u will get a list ov all makes but not all engine sizes, only certain engines sizes, catagories r non-turbo, turbo, turbo diesil, american cars

The phase 2 mini is the only car I have come across that can add 30bhp. Most cars like a 1.2 clio- you are looking at a 3-5 bhp increase- very little. If you have a bigger 16v engine you may get 10bhp.
Best gains are with modern turbo diesels, if you have the VAG 1.9 tdi 130- this should go up to 180+bhp and around 300 pounds of torque, you will be hitting 60 in around 7 seconds dead and 50-70 (engine flexibility) will be vastly improved and even better than many a sports cars- ie a porsche boxster has 228pounds of torque I believe!
