Does anyone know where I can buy the Dansai 852? Tesco doesn't seem to list them anymore. I REALLY want a DVD player that can play straight MPEG files burned on CD-R's. Does anyone know of any? Thanks.

Get to your local Powerhouse (Scottish Power Retail) and get a Decca DDV-2110. On offer for £109 with a scart lead. I have one and it plays absolutely anything, even some formats I haven't heard of. Easy remote hack (same as the Dansai) for multi-region and easy menu operation for MP3. Slight whine from the disc drive in a quiet room but the TV sound covers it. Bargain machine if ever I saw one.

Gamer - Sorry, I haven't seen the 2110 for sale anywhere on the net. I've heard the Dansai 852 is the same hardware & the 2110 is manufactured by Tatung who have sites in the US and Canada. Powerhouse UK website is www.powerhouse-online.co.uk/ I forgot to say the player also has a Karaoke input on the front.
