I think I had the same problem , you may have locked yourself out via the remote control security code. As the screen does not allow you to see any pictures or text you have to work blind to restart.

1, Make sure the remote is functioning not being funny you need it

2, Turn the tv off from the mains and switch on again turn the tv on manually on/off front tv.

3 press tv button on remote to make sure the tv is not set in text mode( clever hey!)

4 with the remote put the tv on standby mode

5 press a button on the remote that would usually bring up a channel on your tv

6 Then press the ( & quot;I & quot; button this is located above the blue button on the remote, not number one)

Then press the O(aux ) 4 times, this should reset the tv back to factory settings over ridding the lock out mode. The first channel on your tv should automatically appear If you do not have the original remote a universal one will do

    best wishes

Hi, I am also having the same problem tuning the TV. The remote I have has a button on the side of the remote control at the top, I think this could be the TV/VHS Shift button. If possible, can you send the tuning pages please. E-Mail me at m.jacko@ntlworld.com. Thanks in advance, Mark.

I have the original operating instructions for this type of tv. The tuning is reasonably straight forward but somewhat long winded and as you mention must be done through the remote. E mail me to determin how I can get a copy to you.

    Regards

    Hello,
Also have a ferguson 51P7 TELEVISION SET REPLACED REMOTE CONTROL WITH CLASSIC IRC81095. Everything seems ok apart from tuning to terrestial channels, tried all that i can think off however it seems like i really need the owners manual. If you can maybe scan your manual and send as an e-mail attachment i will be in your debt and very grateful.
    regards from George

Hi, I saw that you have a copy of the manual for this TV. My wife's aunt has one but doesn't have the instruction manual, and we cannot find how to tune the channels. Is it possible that you can e-mail me a copy. My e-mail address is nweald@ntlworld.com Thanks Martin
