How do I tune Ferguson 51P7 TV...Help!

I have a Ferguson 51P7 TV with no manual, and I cannot get it tuned. All tuning seems to be done via the remote which is of the type with red, green, yellow and blue buttons and has a "TV/VHS(shift)" switch on it. I think the tuning needs to be done with the switch set to "VHS(shift)" and has something to do with a button with an "I" on it (for "index" I think) and with the red button. Any help you can give...with instructions, or where I can download instructions etc would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps you know if Ferguson still has a website?

Im having the same problem as you only I dont hav a remote control. I remember you have to press and hold two buttons on the tv set but I cant remember which one. If anybody could help me it would be greatly apreciated

Has anyone out there any info or ideas as to tuning in a Ferguson 51P7 TV please ??????



We have the original remote control with the "I" button at the top and then a red, green, yellow and blue button further down.



We can get a picture for BBC1 with a message on the screen saving something like save - channel number -fine tune and then cannot seem to do anything with the buttons to remove this message, or tune in to other channels.

TUNING AND MEMORISING

Using the remote cntrl, with the shift switch in the VHS position, select channel mode by pressing the CH button and Channel Mode will be displayed. Select the channel number required by pressing the 2 digits. The new ch no will be displayed.

To nominate a single digit prog no for that ch, press the red (STORE) [it's grey on my remote] button and P - flashing will be displayed on screen for 10 secs. During this time press the single digit required followed by the red button again. The prog no will be displayed for 5 secs.



There's loads more - too much - for double prog nos and search tuning.

I have the original operating instructions for this type of tv. The tuning is reasonably straight forward but somewhat long winded and as you mention must be done through the remote. E mail me to determin how I can get a copy to you.

I read your messages with interest, as I am also having trouble tuning my Feruson TV. I cannot figure out how to get it to scan to pick up a channel. Any help would be appreciated.
