Help with 'Home Made' Wedding Video

From Spain,

I am a complete novice (I don't even have a digital camera!!) however I have this burning desire to buy myself a camera so that we can self video our private wedding ceremony which will be in June, on the beach in Jamaica.



I need help:



Can someone suggest a good camera for a starter?

My partner has a Sony camcorder, can we upgrade?

Filming & Editing Tips?



Boy, I need the whole lot! I'd rather this hard work for something special as opposed to a cheesy video I'll hate by my first anniversary!!
