    I am about to get a new phone, would anyone recommend the sharp GX-10 and if not, why?

    I've just got a GX10 on 14 day approval and I think it's going back. Battery life is poor - allegedly down to large colour screen. It doesn't feel particularly like a quality made phone. It's too easy to link to Vodafone Live! accidentally (obviously only on the Vodafone version. Software provided with it and available afterwards is poor and minimal - I haven't found an easy way to transfer my own polyphonic tunes to the thing. Camera is a gimmick and nothing else. It is badged as Sharp but isn't supported by the main company, they are all Japanese imports from a separate company. Not too impressed, think I'll stick to Nokia.

    this phone is great, get it!! you can take pics and e-mail them, use any pic on the web as background (depending on the size of pic), ringtones are loud and theres loads of free one on wap (got dangermouse at mo). battery isn't that bad if you don't mind charging over nite to make doubly sure it doesn't run out the next day (with heavy use). sign up with nowmms and can recieve email on your fone...wicked.

    I GOT ONE BUT THE NOKIA AND PANASONIC HAVE BETTER CAMERAS AND MORE EFFECTS. THE NOKIA IS EASIEST 2 USE U CAN UPLOAD PICS TO YOUR P.C UNLIKE THE SHARPAND ALTER AND THE PANASONIC HAS A V.GOOD CAMERA.

    THE SHARPS AREN'T A GREAT PHONE I WANT TO CHANGE MINE SOON ALSO CHECK OUT THE MOTOROLLA LIKE THE V66 WITH CAMERA IT LOOKS GOOD.

    it is very strange what are you saying. the software that unlocks sharp gx-10 works fine!



    to unlock:



    SWITCH ON SHAPR WITH VODAFONE SIM ON

    CONNECT CABLE TO PC

    RUN SOFTWARE

    THE PHONE WILL SWITCH OFF

    DISCONNECT CABLE

    SWITCH ON PHONE

    ...NOW YOU HAVE AN UNLOCKED SHARP GX-10

    Hey boys!how can I download pictures from my phone to my pc or MIDI files from my pc to my phone(I have a program to convert MIDI files in Sharp format)?I have the cable,but what program could I use? could U help me!!!!??? Thanks

    Hi, I have an infra-red port on my laptop.

    Do I still need to purchase a cable to allow the unlocking of my GX10, or can I use the infra-red ports on both to connect?
